Next to The Line and a subway station

Koreatown developers are once again looking skyward to build housing, this time transforming parking lots and a three-story office building into a pair of high-rise residential towers next door to the hip The Line hotel and across the street from the Wilshire/Normandie Purple Line station. We’re getting our first look at the Gruen Associates-designed development planned for 3545 Wilshire Boulevard, thanks to new renderings first spotted by Urbanize LA.

Developer Jamison Services is looking to construct a 510,000-square-foot mixed user flanked on each side by residential towers—one at 32 stories facing Wilshire and the other at 14 stories facing Sixth Street—with a total of 428 units. The renderings show two glassy towers, each with rooftop decks. About 32,000 square feet of commercial space makes up much of the development’s ground level.

3545 Wilshire Boulevard could soon become a massive mixed user.

The towers are yet another development in the ever growing portfolio of Jamison Services, which is in the midst of a Koreatown building frenzy, with no less than five recent residential projects in the works. Once completed, those five projects will account for 1,552 new residential units added to Koreatown’s housing stock.
