Plus, a poolside bar
This Bel Air house built in 1964 is a time capsule that still manages to look contemporary.
The living room’s high, beamed ceilings terrazzo floors, and walls of glass are still very desirable and cool, but the scene-stealer is that circular fireplace—a timelessly cool midcentury element.
The house’s retro flair can be seen throughout the rooms, from the sunken bar to the decorative screens that punctuate the space between the entry and the rest of the residence.
The master suite, with its stone-fronted fireplace and what appears to be a mosaic-tiled walk-in shower, carry on the ’60s theme without being kitschy.
The fun doesn’t stop outside the walls of the house. The 1.5-acre grounds feature a poolside bar, a greenhouse, and trails that lead to a small log cabin designed by the current owner, says co-listing agent Steve Frankel.
